Walmart: .40/lb Turkeys

In effort to lower the cost of the holidays for families, Walmart is offering Grade A turkeys for 40 cents a pound this season.  Now that’s a bargain!  The press release doesn’t specify whether the turkey is frozen or fresh, but I am assuming it’s frozen.  Limit two turkeys per customer.  Weights and brands vary by store.  Prices may vary in AK, HI, OK, NM, and WI.

I have a new Super Walmart opening in my area soon, and I cannot tell you how excited I am for it, especially now with this turkey news.  I know I’ve shared in the past certain not too kind feelings for my other area Walmarts, but I have high hopes for this new location!  And I plan to get a turkey there this week now.

Thanks, Common Sense With Money!

I checked our Walmart last week in the Atlanta area and they have the Riverside brand for $.40/lb and they have the Butterball brand for $.60/lb. They are frozen. Got a 16 lb turkey for $6!!!!

I am also super excited for the new walmart to open. It will be less than 5 mins from my house! I’ve heard its supposed to open this week, have you heard anything as to when it’ll be open? Also they are expanding the one in Cville to include grocery, but I honestly doubt I’ll ever step foot in that one again once this one opens.
